LAMB OF GOD
This project is the result of the collaboration with Arnaud Bayle, Julia Fossi and several biology ethicists and genetic engineering scientists.
LAMB OF GOD includes the following works
- Video – Lamb of God
- Photographs – Genetics of Identity
- Video / Sound installation – Resonance
VIDEO – LAMB OF GOD (17 minutes in loop)
What would happen if, through human intervention, we provoked the appearance of consciousness in animal species? How is the moral value of human life sustained if we eliminate the biological category of species?
We are facing a new frontier for bio-politics. Genetic Engineering broadens the horizon from what “we are” to what “we can create”: a power with which oligarchies can play God.
PHOTOGRAPHS – GENETICS OF IDENTITY series (16 photos)
Comparative analysis of the human genome with that of other species – from bacteria to chimpanzees – allows us to understand the differences at the molecular level that distinguish them.
But it also allows us to glimpse the almost musical harmonies between the various forms of life.
VIDEO / SOUND INSTALLATION – RESONANCE (5 screens installation)
“Species boundaries are semipermeable, and permeability (genetic exchange) depends on the region of the genome.” R. Harrison & E. Larson. American Genetic Association, 2014
“DNA generates a longitudinal wave that propagates in the direction of the magnetic field vector. The frequencies calculated from the structure of DNA match those of biophoton radiation.” K. Meyl. DNA and Cell Biology, 2022
“Low-frequency modes are associated with the ‘breathing’ of a DNA molecule, as well as with its complementary hydrogen bonds. This type of internal motion could be the origin of the observed low-frequency vibration.” K. Chou. Biochemical Journal, Cornell University, 1984
